Honda CT description

Here is your chance to own a beautiful 1970 Honda CT70HKO mini trail.  This is the 4 speed manual clutch model in  candy blue green. The production date is May 1970.  Vin# CT70H-106156.  Engine # CT70HE-106069.  The bike's odometer reads 1,986.3 miles but only about 10 miles are on the bike since the restoration.  Just enough to break in the motor and fine tune the carb.

This bike can be seen at www.classiccycleevents.com where it was shown at the Hanford 2013 Classic Motorcycle show in the Trail bikes. endure,  & street trackers category.  See photo #101.  This bike took 2nd place with a score of 99.5 out of 100 points.

This would make a great additional to any collection or if you just want to know what it felt like to ride one of these little bikes this is just about as close to new as it gets.

I have owned this bike for 15 years and spent the last 3 doing a complete restoration.  The bike is not registered and will be sold with a bill of sale.  It is not in the DMV system so this should not be a problem.

The half point reduction was on the bottom of the foot brake.  I chose to use the original foot brake and there was some scratches on it.  There are 2 very minor imperfections on the body.  One on the right side headlamp mount and the other on the right side of the body in the form of a very minor ding.  It was hard to show in a photo, but they are there.

Payment: $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of end of action.

Cash in person. Cashiers check drawn from a U.S bank only.  Paypal accepted as long as all the fees are paid by the buyer.  The bike will be released  once all payments have cleared by the bank.

I will only ship in the United States.  The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and fees associated with this transaction.  The buyer is responsible for making all shipping arrangements.  I will assist in whatever ways I am able.

Warranty:  Although this bike was completely restored it is sold as is with no warranty.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

Team HRC CRF450 Rally Prototype Video

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

In a just released video HRC Team Director Katsumi Yamazaki describes Honda’s Dakar weapon, the CRF450 Rally. Warning: Yamazaki-san’s monotone delivery manages to snuff the excitement factor of what is an incredibly trick motorcycle, but it’s still interesting to watch. Honda returned to the Dakar Rally for the first time in 24 years in January 2013.
