2011 HONDA CRF250R, Quieter. Faster. Better than ever. Are you a winner? Do you want to ride like one? Then you better get yourself on a 2011 CRF250R. Weve given our quarter-liter wonder some serious upgrades for 2011 and it likes to win. Because theres a new 94 dB exhaust rule this year, we gave the CRF250R a new muffler. But we also gave it a new ECU settings which, combined with the exhaust, gives you more usable power, especially in the midrange. Its a win-win situation: A quieter bike and one thats even easier to ride. Like the CFR450R, we also gave the CRF250R a new Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) with a new, bigger 24 mm piston. That gives you more damping when you need it, but still remains as transparent as ever when you dont. McGuinness to Race Honda CBR500R at 2013 Isle of Man TT
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Honda is serious about showing off the racing prowess of the CBR500R. Sharing much of the same components as its siblings the CB500X and CB500F, it’s easy for critics to question whether the CBR500R is worthy of the CBR designation. The first thing Honda did to try to dispel those worries is to secure the CBR500R as the spec race bike for the 2013 European Junior Cup, a racing series for youths held at select rounds of the World Superbike Championship.

Never was it more true than on the launch of Honda's CBR125R and CBR250R where a handful of UK journos were riding elbow to elbow for a couple of hours, with laughter flowing from everyone's lid as we all took turns to back in to roundabouts, burnout through town and wheelie from the lights.. This video shows me chasing Trevor Franklin of MCN fame on a top speed run.

Wed, 08 Sep 2010We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
