Honda CR description

For sale I have a CR500 Honda.  Now I can tell you about how much power and speed this thing produces but anybody that's sit on top of one of these engines already knows.  The engine is fresh and has a specially developed compression release for this engine.  Unbelievable compression.  Takes the roll starter to crank-which is included.  It's ready to take to the track.  This thing's not scared of anything from go-kart tracks to the mile.  Love it but left knee can't stand it anymore.  $3,000.  In Hickory, NC.  (828)294-1941-please no text.

2011 Vyrus Moto2 Grand Prix Racer Preview

Fri, 14 Jan 2011

Motorbike cognoscenti recognize the Vyrus name, the Italian brand producing exotic sportbikes based on the amazing hub-center-steered Bimota Tesi. The Vyrus story begins when Bimota filed for bankruptcy in the early 2000s. Vyrus principal Ascanio Rodorigo, a former Bimota employee, began producing his version of the Tesi after Bimota let its patents expire while it was in bankruptcy.

Michael Dunlop led from start to finish to win the second Supersport TT race, giving him 10 TT victories in his career, tying him with the likes of Giacomo Agostini. Dunlop also joins sidecar racer Robert Fisher, Ian Lougher and Stanley Woods with 10 wins apiece, all tied for seventh overall on the all-time wins list. Riding his MD Racing Honda CBR600RR, Dunlop got off to a strong start, recording a time of 17:55.817 on the opening lap, giving him a 4.6-second advantage over fellow Honda rider Bruce Anstey.

Things I wouldn't like to race: Part 1

Now I know that Mike Hailwood raced a 6-cylinder Honda but that's no excuse for this CBX I spotted at the Bikers Days Spa Classic. The 1047cc, inline 6 cylinder, 24 Valve, DOHC Honda might be a feat of engineering brilliance but it looks like it would be a right handful on track. I've added a picture of an oil tanker to give you an idea of just how long the CBX's wheelbase really is.
