1969 Honda Cl350 K1 Original-unrestored-low Mileage-outstanding Condition on 2040-motos
Honda CL description
This bike has a history of being loved its entire exsistance, But most of its life it has been stored away in a shed/garage under a cover. I bought her from the second owner who had owned it since 2007. From what I understand the original owner from Missouri bought it new in 1969 and rode it for a year or so and put it away for many years. The second owner bought it off ebay saying he had one when he was a kid and wanted to relive some memories. He got it running and then put it away for 6 years. Along comes me and I buy it. We cleaned the tank, replaced the seat cover, cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, changed the oil and dropped a new battery in it, hit the starter button and she started immediatley. And run she does....like she did 45 years ago. Shifts perfectly. Ready to be a daily rider again. No leaks, no visable rust. She looks like you would expect her to look being stores under a cover most of her life. She still shines up thought, the chrome is 45 years old but still holds a shine although if you look closely you can see some rust freckles. The paint still shines but has scratches and missing paint...likely the result of things falling on it in the garage for all those years. The frame still looks good and has very little rust. Long-time AMA rider and champion Ben Bostrom is known for his athletic endurance and stamina. A quality he attributes to the work he does training on his bicycle or on a run. And now that B-Boz is without a full-time motorcycle ride this year, he’s focusing his attention to other forms of two wheels.Tue, 07 Oct 2014
American consumers hoping Honda would replace its NC700X with the larger-displacement NC750X will be disappointed to know they might have to wait until the 2016 model year to get the 75cc engine upgrade. The California Air Resources Board has granted an executive for the 2015 Honda NC700X, certifying the motorcycle for sale in the state with the same 670cc engine displacement it had since being introduced in the 2012 model year. Now, this doesn’t mean Honda won’t decide to certify the 745cc engine after all; manufacturers resubmit and recertify models all the time, often replacing models are adding additional model using the same engine.Mon, 10 Mar 2014
As we expected following similar recalls in Australia and Japan, American Honda has announced a recall campaign on the 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R because of a risk of oil leaking from the engine. The recall affects 6,954 units in the U.S. including ABS and non-ABS models.
