Honda CL description

This bike has a history of being loved its entire exsistance, But most of its life it has been stored away in a shed/garage under a cover. I bought her from the second owner who had owned it since 2007. From what I understand the original owner from Missouri bought it new in 1969 and rode it for a year or so and put it away for many years. The second owner bought it off ebay saying he had one when he was a kid and wanted to relive some memories. He got it running and then put it away for 6 years. Along comes me and I buy it. We cleaned the tank, replaced the seat cover, cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, changed the oil and dropped a new battery in it, hit the starter button and she started immediatley. And run she does....like she did 45 years ago. Shifts perfectly. Ready to be a daily rider again. No leaks, no visable rust. She looks like you would expect her to look being stores under a cover most of her life. She still shines up thought, the chrome is 45 years old but still holds a shine although if you look closely you can see some rust freckles. The paint still shines but has scratches and missing paint...likely the result of things falling on it in the garage for all those years. The frame still looks good and has very little rust. Keep in mind that photos sometimes make things look better than they do in person. This bike is a great running original unrestored motorcycle that has 45 year old paint and chrome. It is in exceptional condition for its age and will be sold in as is condition with no warranty. This bike can be ridden as a daily rider or she would be a great candidate for a complete frame off restoration to make it look new again. It would be worth it as these bikes have been pegged as one of the top Vintage Japanese Collectables from many magazines and clubs.
But me, if I were going to keep her, I would ride her in her present condition. She shows a little age, but who doesn't after 40?. In spite of her age she still looks damn good and runs a lot better than I do these days.
Comes complete with original tool kit and owners manual

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
