Honda CBR description

Hi guys, I've got my 2002 Honda CBR954 RR for sale. Yes, the legendary Fireblade. It's silver with black Honda wing motif which, in my opinion, is the by far the most attractive colour scheme for this bike. It's super mint and clean, most people are shocked to find out it's a 2002, not even 1 single mark on it anywhere. This isn't some abused or repainted a non-factory colour model, it's a pristine example of a legendary bike :)  This bike is located near Vancouver, Canada but it was imported from Seattle, Washington so it was already a USA bike originally.

These bikes are rare, powerful and crazy fast... there's so much torque on this motor you barely need to shift gears around town. It's a dream to ride, great handling, the turn-in and suspension ride like a 600, but when you twist the throttle it's a whole different story! Weighs the same as a CBR600F4i but with wayyyyyy more power. It's got only 8,750 miles and the oil was changed at 8,000 miles with Motul Synthetic. Chain and tires were done last fall and it's only been ridden 500km since then.

The bike is literally spotless, low mileage, and runs like a top. Everything works as it did when it rolled out of the Honda factory. This bike was designed by the legendary Tadao Baba who stated that this generation was by far his favourite. This iteration of the CBR litre bikes is one of the fastest, with 151hp at only 370lbs of dry weight it has an amazing power to weight ratio!

Also, the bike is stock except for an undertail kit and I have most of the stock pieces. No other modifications... even the stock pipe on this bike is made of titanium so it's already super light! Why am I selling it? I've been rolling on the streets for 6+ years now on various bikes and after many years of dodging cagers I got an adventure bike to go off-road and do some camping.

Bike is mint, it's ready to ride, needs absolutely no maintenance, nice weather is upon us and I'm a nice guy to deal with :)  Buyer is responsible for shipping but I am willing to help out logistically however you need whether it be riding it for pickup somewhere within reason or assisting with paperwork.

Thanks!

Chris

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.

2014 Honda Forza Scooter Gets CARB Approval

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

The Honda NSS300 Forza scooter has received approval from the California Air Resources Board. The 279cc scooter was first announced at the 2012 EICMA show for the European market and Canada, and it looks like it will be available for sale in the U.S. The Forza still needs to get a certificate of conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency, but that should not be difficult after getting the O.K.

Honda Announces CBR400R, CB400F and 400X for Japan

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

Honda confirmed it will produce a 399cc version of its new 500-series motorcycles for the Japanese market. The Honda CBR400R, CB400F and 400X will be offered in Japan instead of their respective 500 versions, as they are a better fit to the country’s tiered licensing system than the CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X. The new 400 models should come as no surprise after Honda announced in February it would produce a smaller version of the 471cc engine used in the 500 series.
