Honda CB description
Up for sale is a beautiful 1971 Honda CB750K1. This bike has not been running for about 30 yrs. The engine is free and has compression, but I do not want to spend the time to get it running again. The bike is mostly stock with the exception of an 810cc kit that was installed before the bike was put away. This bike will come with all the extra parts that are shown in the images (additional complete engine, various engine components, additional set of carburetors and more). The exhaust pipes are original and do have some surface rust on them. The bike will need a little bit of TLC, being a 40+ year old bike that has been sitting for so long.I have a clear title in hand, and the bike can be seen Tuesday-Saturday by appointment. Mick Doohan NSR500 art sculpture
Wed, 04 Apr 2012How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.
Did you get your bike serviced at George White Slough?
Thu, 18 Aug 2011Unfortunately, The George White branch at Slough has closed which means the sales, clothing and servicing departments are all gone. I got to know a few of the guys there as they're local to me and helped put my 848 Challenge bike together. If you used to get your bike serviced there, you might wonder where you can now go to get it done.
