Honda CB description

*** Note *** "Reserve Price Removed" & "Buy it Price Lowered" Bid to Win !! Ok guys and girls ! Up for bid is my pride and joy 1972 Honda CB750 Café Racer Project !! As you can see from the many photos, this will be one "Bad Ass" Café Racer when it's done!! Started with a stock 1972 Honda CB750 frame. I left it stock with all stock brackets in place ,so it could be put back to stock if wanted. Frame was blasted clean and powder coated, Rallye Red as well as all other frame related parts and rotors/wheel chain guard. EVERYTHING is "NEW" Front fork tubes/seals/rubber caps/upper caps. New cast alum.(polished) headlight ears. Stock "polished) upper triple clamp. Lower (polished) lower legs. Twin stock (polished) calipers and arms. Nitrogen charged rear shocks, with springs, powered coated Rallye Red to match. Custom (polished) alum. Oil cooler. "All Balls" tapered head bearing set. The engine cases are (empty)! They have been powder coated "Wrinkle" Silver and look very cool. Cylinders are powder coated chrome but looks Alum. after clear coated. There is no cylinder head. There is a full set of (polished) engine covers. Rear swing arm powder coated chrome (looks alum.) but also powder coated a Red one. The motor mounts are custom (polished) stainless steel (made by me). All master cylinder/switch covers/levers are (polished). Front 19" shouldered alum. rim is (polished) as well as the speedo drive. The hub is (polished) and the wheel is laced with stainless spokes. Dual factory disk rotor have been drilled and service ground to specs. The rear 17" shouldered alum. rim is (polished), as well as the rear hub/drive hub/and brake cover. Also laced with stainless steel spokes. There are no brakes or hardware. Both wheels have a very cool (segmented) Red vinyl decal applied to the shouldered edge (my design) and is removable if desired. A brand new front Avon Road Rider tire 100/90/19" and a brand new Avon Road Rider 130/90/17" tire are included. There is a Chrome Halogen headlight. Included is a complete aftermarket 836cc big bore kit with 2 sets of rings and base/head gaskets. No Camshaft Also a almost complete gasket set. Last is a insanely cool complete Alum. Café Racer Tank/Seat/Side Covers/Front (bobbed) Fender/Rear (bobbed) Fender and Inside Splash Fender. The gas cap is also the coolest item. Solid (polished) Stainless Steel and by far the BEST sealing unit out there. I custom modified this cap to mount to this tank. This bike has an (Open Signed) title and ready for your name. Wow that took a while and I bet you hope I don't say (polished) again !! LOL I would be scared to add up what I have into this project, but it is far less that what I'm asking for it. Why am I selling it? I have another project (different), closer to finishing and need the funds for it. This is a large item to ship and a lot of parts. I could break everything down for shipping but still would add up to a lot of shipping boxes so the shipping quote is just a guess. I would prefer a local pick up or the buyer must arrange all shipping. This is a No Warranty, No Return Auction ,so please ask LOTS of questions Before you bid. I will sell to overseas bidders as I have a overseas shipper but the shipping quote will have to be sent after purchase. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. I forgot there is a N.O.S. wire harness also included. Also Trans./Clutch Cage/Lay Shaft/ N.O.S. Primary Chains/ Some assorted NEW inner engine Bearings are included If I find more parts I will post them. I have found the Crank Shaft and many boxes of internal engine parts. Some are New in packages.

Honda Announces 400cc Version of 500-Series Engine

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Honda has revealed a new, smaller-displacement variation of the 470cc parallel-twin engine introduced on its new CBR500, CB500F and CB500X models. The new engine has a bore of 67mm, just like Honda‘s 500-series engine, but a stroke of 56.6mm instead of the longer 66.8mm. The result is an engine displacement of 399cc, which makes the new engine a better fit for markets such as Japan license restrictions are much stricter for engines larger than 400cc.
