Tue, 25 Aug 2009Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel. There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans. Wed, 14 May 2014Nilox, the action camera sponsor for World Superbike, makes it a point to film an on-board lap of each track on the calendar before each race weekend. A few weeks ago we brought you footage of Giuliano Rovelli lapping a Honda CBR1000RR SP around Assen. This week Rovelli is back, this time aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R, giving us a rapid tour of Imola, the track made famous by the tragic passing of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna 20 years ago, and also by the legendary battle between Troy Bayliss and Colin Edwards in 2002 which decided the championship.
WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report
Mon, 15 Apr 2013BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The wins were the second and third of Davies’ WSBK career (the first came last year at Nurburgring for the ParkinGo Aprilia team) and the second ever double in the series for BMW. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.
