Honda CB description

I found this 1975 Honda CB360 in an old out of commission dairy farm. Was missing a number of things including exhaust, headlight bucket, etc. It was close to going to the scrap yard. Took it to the shop, we stripped it down completely and started rebuilding. This is the stunning result that makes cars stop in the road to ask about it. Yes, I've been riding it and it rides like a beast. Very smooth to operate with mean power. This bike grabs everyone's attention and it usually ends with the person gazing at it longingly and finally saying "that is just a beautiful bike."
We were going for a balance of the vintage original with modern touches.
Everything has been gone through but I will list some things here:
-Tomaselli grips
-Modern brake and clutch levers
-New chain and sprockets
-Carbs rebuilt and jetted to the T
-Perforated metal woven into the frame
-New cafe seat
-New drag bars
-New neck and wheel bearings
-Powder coated wheels
-Blasted and painted frame
-Custom exhaust
-New IRC tires
-CB400F shocks
-New brake lines and brakes
Basically, we've gone through everything on this bike. Ready to enjoy.

Both electric and kickstart work beautiful. Starts easily first try
This bike has it's own unique growl and howl and is a blast to ride.

Thumbs up for a chilly N.E.C.

Wed, 08 Dec 2010

Apart from the freaky weather I have to say last week’s Carole Nash Motorcycle Live N.E.C. show was the best Birmingham event I've attended in the ten years. I really appreciate the fact that manufacturers chose to ignore the recession giving us great stands to cater for every enthusiast young and old.  Aprilia made a welcome return and I don’t know anyone that didn’t enjoy admiring the WSB RSV4, surely the the most gorgeous bike on the planet? The Honda stand rarely disappoints and this year was no exception with banking bikes providing fun for all the family.

Dealer Expo 2010: Yoshimura R-77 Slip-On Exhaust

Mon, 15 Feb 2010

Yoshimura is playing to the green movement with its new R-77 slip-on canister with integral catalytic converter. The version ready for the 2008-09 Honda CBR1000RR is claimed to be three pounds lighter than stock and offers a big bump in midrange power. Most importantly to the greenies, however, is that it produces fewer emissions than other performance mufflers.

The most beautiful race bike ever?

Thu, 06 Oct 2011

It was good to see my old HRC team mate Shinichi Itoh making his final Moto GP appearance last weekend at Motegi.  At 44 he was a bit off the pace compared to his younger team mates, but that didn't matter as it was a joy just to see him circulating on what I reckon is most stunning GP bike ever. And I gladly braved the pit lane walkabout chaos just to dribble and take a few snaps. Unfortunately he lost the front in one session trashing a complete set of body work but was back in action on race day to grab a few world championship points.
