Honda CB description

Here's an all original 1972 Honda CB750k with original paint, pipes and seat. Just serviced with compression check, new NGK spark plugs, new battery and complete carburetor rebuild. Fuel system completely flushed and petcock rebuilt. Oil and filter just changed and new air filter installed.  Runs perfect and has great power. No leaks, no smoke, and starts easy. Fun to ride and handles good. Tires look newer with no dryrot or cracking and plenty of tread. All electrical/lights work great including horn and signal buzzer. High beam is burned out. Low beam works fine so I adjusted headlight up a bit. Tach and speedometer work great. Seat has the original cover still on it with no damage. Paint is all original and still pretty shiny. Gastank has no dents or dings, no paint chips or scratches, just some tiny surface corrosion starting on the forward left side of tank(may be too little to see in pics). Side covers have no damage and all attachment studs intact. 1 has a scratch on the very topside under the seat edge. Fenders have light corrosion but are shiny, front one has a couple dings in it, rear has 1 little crack on each edge. Front rim has a little light rust in 1 area, rear seems fine, just dirty. Chain and sprocket are good. Exhaust pipes and mufflers are original and solid, near mint. No scratches, dings or dents on any of them. Front headpipes have some rust on a couple of them. I'm a 54 yr old motorcycle mechanic and love saving these vintage bikes. This one was owned by the father of an aquaintenance who stopped riding 10 years ago, but garaged it, eventually giving it to his son who stored it in a shed for several years, hence the corrosion starting. It was bought new in Michigan and stayed in Michigan it's whole life. 100% complete and no signs it's ever been dropped and nothing molested.Comes with a clear Michigan title and original keys. Ask all questions prior to bidding please.

Spies Second at Sepang Test Day Two; Lorenzo Third

Wed, 01 Feb 2012

Yamaha factory rider Ben Spies led for most to the second day of MotoGP testing at Sepang before settling for the second best lap the time sheets behind defending World Champion Casey Stoner. Spies rode 37 laps and recorded a time of 2:01.052, which stood as the fastest lap in the morning session. That time was surpassed later in the afternoon by Repsol Honda rider Stoner by 0.157 seconds.

Awesome Anaheim Supercross

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

The highlight of this winter has to be my visit to last week’s Anaheim Californian Supercross.  I’ve followed this spectacular series on Motors TV but the atmosphere while watching the action live is something else. Forty five Yankee dollars gets you a good seat high in the stadium, with practice starting at 12.30pm and the main event kicking off at 7.30pm. If you are making a day of it however, I’d recommend buying a pit pass then you can get in full anorak mode to hassle the teams and riders for autographs and photos.  We conveniently made some new friends allowing us to do some pre event ‘tail gating’, a great concept which is basically barbecuing and downing beer around your vehicle in the surrounding car parks.  The evening race schedule is four hours of nonstop action starting with the capacity crowd standing for the American national anthem sung by a stunning blonde with a huge voice.

2014 WSBK – Misano Results

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes won both races at Misano to stretch his championship lead to 39 points as we pass the halfway mark of the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The reigning champion scored his third double-win round of the season while his teammate Loris Baz added a pair of second-place finishes. David Salom on the Kawasaki’s factory EVO entry was also the top rider in the new sub-class for both races to top off a strong weekend for the Team Green.
