Honda CB description

This bike is all original and has had only myself and two other owners in 49 years. All the chrome and polished aluminum is in very good condition, bike has been well cared for and obviously has been stored indoors. The gas tank has no rust inside. Paint on the top of the tank has some scratches and front fender has a small dent that could easily be removed and worn paint on the fender stays.  The bike has 16777 miles and starts second kick when cold, Does not smoke on startup or burn oil, but carbs need tuning. Has new chain and new seat cover. Both mufflers are original but have been welded where they cracked at the front mounts. Has the complete tool kit and even the plastic tool bag is in extremely good condition. This bike is in such good shape that I believe it should be shined up and ridden as it is, not taken apart and totally restored. A bike is only original once and a 49 year old original bike in this condition is very rare. It has been registered in British Columbia Canada since new, importing to the US is very easy. I will assist in any way I can and will load it onto a motorcycle shipping crate if you wish.

K-Tech release 25SSK for Big Piston Forks

Mon, 21 May 2012

K-Tech have released their popular 25SSK front fork open cartridge system to fit all Showa Big Piston Forks. Here's what K-Tech have to say about them: These lightweight aluminium units are supplied to the same exacting specification as all other 25SSK fitments with 14mm piston rods and a 25mm cartridge tube, the 14mm piston rods displace a large volume of oil through the 25mm control pistons giving enhanced damping characteristics over the standard Big Piston Fork and allow a bigger volume of air for a more precise feel at the bottom of the fork travel. The cartridge kits have compression and rebound adjustment in both legs and are supplied with 1.5mm Flow Control Valves for a more accurate adjustment, all necessary hardware is supplied to convert the Big Piston Forks to take the cartridges but it is necessary to order the springs you require as these are not included, customer price for the 25SSK cartridges is £725.00 + VAT and are available for the following models:- Honda CBR1000RR 2012 Kawasaki ZX6-R 2009-2012 Kawasaki ZX10-R 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR600 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR1000 2009-2012 Contact K-Tech on: +44(0)1283 559007.

Honda Canada to Launch CBR250R Racing Series

Fri, 30 Sep 2011

Honda Canada will introduce a new national racing series featuring the CBR250R for 2012. The news is no surprise as Honda has been running a CBR125R Challenge racing series as a support class for the Canadian Superbike Championship since 2008. With the CBR250R on the market for nearly a year (and reportedly doing quite well at that), a racing series featuring the quarter-liter sportbike was almost inevitable.
