Harley-Davidson Touring description

For sale is a 2010 Harley Streetglide FLHX.  It currently has only 9200 miles on it (might go up, as it is still being ridden) and has been meticulously maintained.  As you can see from the pictures, it is quite a head turner!  Every inch of this bike has been customized with some of the best parts on the market.  The custom paint was done by Ernie Ball in Springfield, IL in 2013.  If you aren’t familiar with him, Ernie has seen over 100 magazines showcase his work over the years!  The paint is a multi-purple & black with shading/shadows, etc.  Ghost flames are also in the pinstripe for a subtle but ultra-custom touch.  Even the gauges are tinted to match the color of the bike!  This thing almost glows in the dark and has so many layers of color in the sun.

Here is a list of what has been done to the bike (I’m sure I will miss something, but you get the idea).

Motor:

103 cubic inch motor

Screamin’ Eagle Stage 4 Kit

Screamin’ Eagle heads

Domed pistons

Adjustable pushrods

58mm throttle body

HotWire performance plug wires

Body:

Paul Yaffe tank dash with chrome pop-up gas cap

Paul Yaffe Stretched Chupa fender with CVO taillights and CVO wiring harness

6” stretched and carpet-lined saddlebags

Sinister front fender for 21” wheel

Legend adjustable air ride system on the rear end

ABS brakes

Cruise control

Harley chrome front forks and fork cans/dust covers

Misc. Chrome Accessories, etc.

Accutronics forward controls

Hidden chrome LED front turn signals

Chrome 17” ape hangers with Avon grips and custom mirrors

Klock Werks windshield (painted to match bike)

Chrome clutch and brake levers

Harley Boom Audio speakers

Passenger detachable backrest

New Harley LED tinted daymaker headlight (If they can’t see the paint, they’ll definitely see the headlight coming!)

This bike isn’t another bolt-on bike.  This is a work of art, yet is 100% reliable and will go anywhere.  I just rode it to Sturgis and back.  I’m sure I have missed some of the details, so feel free to call, text, or email with questions.  217-SIX FIVE TWO-3601

What am I gonna do with a gun rack?

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

Living in Shoreditch I come across a unique variety of motorcycles on the road; from XS650s, to classic Lambrettas and one completely brown jelly-mould CBR600. My favourite of the regular bikes I see is this Harley-Davidson badged Armstrong MT500. In my head I like to think that the owner operates as an urban vigilante, realistically whoever rides this ex-Army bike is probably an artist and instead of a weapon in the gun holder it's probably art equipment.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today. As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).

Owner of Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson Found in Japan

Wed, 02 May 2012

Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.
