2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two and Softail Slim Revealed

As expected, Harley-Davidson pulled the wraps off of two new 2012 models, the ’70s-styled Seventy-Two Sportster (pictured above) and the bobber-styled Softail Slim. Motorcycle.com‘s Tom Roderick attended the launch of the two new 2012 Harley-Davidson models and he’ll have a full report. Sturgis Buffalo Chip Student Build Challenge Will Use 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide

Next year’s Sturgis Buffalo Chip will once again feature the Student Build Challenge. The bike build project is a collaboration between the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Sturgis Brown High School, Black Hills Harley-Davidson, Terry Components, Dakota V-Twin and a large group of industry-leading parts sponsors. The program provides the opportunity for Sturgis Brown High School students to learn from leading motorcycle industry professionals in order to create a one-of-a-kind custom motorcycle from a stock Harley-Davidson.

2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout Unveiled at Daytona Bike Week

In a rare move, Harley-Davidson has unveiled a base version of its Breakout months after first launching the exclusive Custom Vehicle Operations version. Presented at the 2013 Daytona Bike Week, the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout offers a similar low and muscular profile as the CVO version but at prices starting at $17,899 compared to the premium model’s $26,999 price point. Tom Roderick reviewed the 2013 Harley-Davidson CVO Breakout last August, saying it “continues the tradition of exclusivity, performance and style customers have come to expect from Harley-Davidson’s Custom Vehicle Operations.” But take away the premium CVO features and what do you have?
