This bike has a Diamond pattern two-tone seat, along with hi-chrome digital odometer. The gas cap is a chrome classic and the gas tank is a 72 model style vintage low- gloss black paint. The reservoir oil tank is trim w/chrome cap & splash guard and the exhaust has heat wrap tape that is tapered w/chrome "Python" vented -exhaust tip! Chrome coil over -soft tail for maximum comfort ride..many, many features! Sense the bike was purchased it had never been ridden or dropped! Garage kept and covered, only battery needs to be charge! Easy Rider 40th Anniversary
Tue, 27 Oct 2009Peter Fonda, who played Wyatt in the 1969 cult classic, Easy Rider, was in Glendale, CA on Friday to help promote the Blu-Ray release of the film which marks the 40th anniversary. The movie was scheduled to be shown at the Love Ride event that was canceled this year, instead the film screened at a local Harley-Davidson dealer. One of the film’s main objective was to expose violence and racism in the U.S. in a negative light but instead it seems that it was taken the wrong way with most, glorifying the lifestyle that was portrayed in the film.
Dodge City 300 Looking To Celebrate Centennial Anniversary In 2014
Tue, 28 May 2013In 1914 the city of Dodge City, Kansas held a motorcycle race, the Dodge City 300, attracting over 17,000 spectators. By 1921 there were more than 20,000. The race was held on a two-mile dirt oval and was sanctioned by the FAM (Federation of American Motorcyclists).
Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
