Harley-Davidson Touring description

Harley Davidson Street Glide. Awesome bike for the Street Glide lovers. I purchased this bike new at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally/Black Hills Harley Davidson. This black beauty has 5400 miles and has been garage kept since new. 5000 mile service completed so its ready to go. Some of the details...Dash isn't the cheap plastic look. It is body color painted and really sets off the look. Matching lo-pro tires and rims professionally installed by dealer with matching front and rear brake rotors. Powder coated black forks and LED headlight. Everything done to this bike was done at a licensed Harley Davidson dealership EXCEPT the RCX Exhaust which was installed by the vendor during the rally. Backrest was installed and can be detached quickly with installed QR brackets. Pegs/Floorboards/Foot Pegs/Grips keep with the flow of the bike. Also changed the primary cover logo and shifter linkage. Engine is the 103 with 6 Speed

***I am selling this so that I can get a smaller everyday rider. I will consider a trade and payoff for a good condition Harley. Dyna, Fatboy, Night Train, Etc. No Sportsters.

I owe a small balance to the bank so sale/title will be handled together and title made available upon completion of transaction. Do not bid if you are unable to get funding, etc. Please ask any questions you have before bidding. If you have negative feedback or a new account, please message me BEFORE bidding or I will cancel your bid. Bike is located in Lakeland, FL and I can pick winning bidder up from Tampa International Airport.

Good luck and thank you for checking this out.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
