Listing a complete running 1956 Harley Davidson FL Panhead with sidecar. Unrestored. The bike had been in storage for 30 plus years. The bike was disassembled with only the engine in the frame and received a complete service top to bottom including all new wiring throughout, reinstalled and aligned all driveline components (transmission, rear wheel, final drive chain, primary assy. New lines (brake, oil) all new gaskets. Factory raked trees (for the sidecar) Runs like a champ. The sidecar is from a 58 with Juice brakes (not hooked up) Body in good shape. Will need new tires, Clear title. Drive as-is.  Can assist in shipping.

Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
