2014 Biker Belles Symposium At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

On Tuesday, August 5th, at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, the sixth annual Biker Belles symposium presented by Harley-Davidson kicks off at The Lodge at Deadwood. Proceedings get underway with filmmaker, Michelle Carpenter, showing a clip from her new documentary about women riders, “Driven to Ride.” When Carpenter finishes, a panel of leading industry women will address attending participants, including motivational speaker and safety expert, Cat Hammes; Team Diva owner, Diva Amy Skaling; ROAR Motorcycles founder, Kathy Tolleson; National Online Director of Marketing & PR for Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, Audrey Nesbitt; drag racer, Andie Gaskins; and more. 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Data

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
