Chrome Kuryakyn foot and hand controls. Progressive front springs and rear shocks. Front & Rear wheels replaced with Performance Machine Viper units. Custom Saddle bags and supports. Live to Ride / Ride to Live mirrors. Tachometer / speedometer replaced original speedometer. H.D. chrome horn replacement. Dual Rider & Passenger seat w/ passenger pegs. Detachable windshield. Chrome belt guards. Heel rests on front pegs. Selling Price includes Battery Charger, Rain and Dust covers, cable wheel lock, front disc lock, and Maintenance Manual. Investment approx. $13,000. Fri, 09 Aug 2013For sale on Ebay right now are two original Harley-Davidson Sportsters ridden by legendary stuntman Evel Knievel in the film “Viva Knievel!“ Click here to see the Ebay listing, which ends on Monday, August 12. The first is the “Flying Eagle” Strato-Cycle, which is one of two used in the movie. The bike is complete with full documentation including original sales invoice from Harley-Davidson in 1977, which certified (with matching VIN numbers) and specifies that it was used in the Viva Knievel movie.
Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010, according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.
