Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Here's a good running vintage ironhead sportster.  The true mileage is unknown but the odometer shows low numbers, new battery, freshly powder coated fenders and tank, tight motor with just a minor oil drip every now and then, decent tread on tires an a whole lot of potential. It's an old 43 year motorcycle right side gear shift bike that has survived and is pretty much all there with the obvious exceptions shown in photos. The turn signals are not working properly and sometimes the fuel overflows from the carb bowl. Remember, it's an old bike that requires tinkering but you could restore it to original, customize it, or just ride it around as a conversation piece. Except for the new powder coat paint on tank and fenders, it rides and looks like a 43 year old bike so please know what you're getting into. Look at the photos carefully. These are getting harder to find in the uncut and non chopped versions. You need this. So do I but not enough free time to do anything with it.

Want to Buy the Pope’s Harley?

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

In February, Bohnams auction house in Paris will allow both the Catholic and the Harley faithful to bid on a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide owned by none other than Pope Francis, himself. Given to the Pope last year as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, the bike was unlikely to become the Popecycle because of the security required to protect the pontiff. The Pope donated the Dyna to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma but not before signing the tank with “Francesco” at a special ceremony at the Vatican last November.

Airhawk Introduces DS Comfort Seating System For Dual Sport Bikes, Bikes With Narrow Seats

Fri, 16 May 2014

Airhawk, Inc., has introduced the DS Comfort Seating System, a cushion designed specifically for motorcyclists who ride dual sport bikes or bikes with narrower seats. Features of the DS cushion include a narrow front to match the seat profile of most dual sport/adventure bikes and bikes with narrow seats.  A tapered-down front minimizes unwanted pressure on the scrotum, and a heavy-duty hold-down strap system ensures a secure fit to the bike.  The DS also works well with narrow customized or aftermarket seats that have been installed for the purpose of getting the rider lower to the ground.
