Local sale only, buyer to inspect bike at time of purchase. I'm located in Southwest Michigan 95 miles north of Chicago, 35 miles west of South Bend, IN 

1998 Springer is in very good+ condition. Always garaged. No mechanical issues other than it takes a little warm up time, it has a carb, not fuel injected. Hard to believe you will find a nicer 15 year old bike. Well worth a look.

New Drag Specialties seat, new Vance & Hines short shot pipes with billet baffles and full length heat shields, new Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner kit with stock cover, new factory HD retro hand grips, new V-Twin 1-1/4" fat handle bars.

In a time before the economic meltdown, motorcycle sales, especially for Harley-Davidson, were booming. After the collapse, sales have only started to pick up again within the past two years (at nowhere near pre-2008 levels, however).

Harley-Davidson Sells Test Track to Chrysler

Harley-Davidson has sold its 531-acre private test track in Florida to the Chrysler Group for $7 million. The property, located off of Interstate 75 in Naples, Fla., includes six miles of track including a 2.1-mile straightaway and several buildings. The track was originally built for Ford, with construction completed in 1992.
