This is my 2014 FLSTC HERITAGE SOFTAIL CLASSIC in Midnight Pearl with only 306 miles on it.  A two piece two up removable seat pillion.  Leather tank panel and matching backrest trim.  Detachable windshield.  Nostalgic chrome ball headlamp and nacelle.  Smooth laced wheels with wide whitewall tires.  New braking system with ABS standard.  Air cooled twin cam 103 engine.  Leather saddlebags with quick access buckles.  6 speed cruise drive transmission. Always garage kept with battery tender. Bike has never been laid down.  Credit union to be paid.

New Harley-Davidson Book Ties Together The Company’s Past

Margie Siegal, former columnist for IronWorks Magazine and motorcycle enthusiast has written a book on the history of the world’s most famous motorcycle, Harley-Davidson. Entitled,  Harley-Davidson: A History of the World’s Most Famous Motorcycle, the book ties together the mechanical evolution of the Harley engines, the social history of Harley and the beautiful visuals associated with Harleys in design, advertising, artful photography and collectibles. Harley-Davidson are words that evoke the open American road and the “Made in America” tradition like no others.

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

Harley-Davidson Discontinuing Road Glide and Other Models for 2014

A leaked memo sent out to Harley-Davidson dealers reveals plans to drop several models from the company’s 2014 lineup. Slated to disappear are the XR1200X Sportster, the FXS Softail Blackline, and the FLHTC Electra Glide Classic. Also being discontinued, at least for 2014, is the FLTRX Road Glide Custom and FLTRU Road Glide Ultra, as the tourer models undergo a design refresh.
