Its custom skirted back fender sits above a 200-millimeter rear tire. The wheels are solid slabs of cast aluminum, ringed with 0.50-caliber, bullet-sized holes. Everything about this motorcycle commands space on the road. The seat is low and wide. The thick 96-cubic-inch helping of Harley-Davidson V-Twin engine is served up in chrome and black. Thu, 21 Jul 2011Harley-Davidson has revealed a new member to its Dyna family featuring quick change convertibility from touring to cruiser mode. As we expected, the new Harley-Davidson Dyna Switchback features hard saddlebags and fork-mounted windshield that can be removed quickly and without tools, allowing it to change from a touring motorcycle to a cruiser, and back again. The Dyna Switchback uses Harley-Davidson’s Twin Cam 103 engine, 2-into-1 chrome exhaust, and five-spoke cast aluminum wheels with full fenders.

According to the Milwaukee Business Journal, during the investor call Thursday discussing second-quarter results Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG) Senior Vice President and CFO John Olin publicly confirmed the previously reported model dump to the Motor Company’s Touring lineup.
