2008 Harley-Davidson FXSTC Softail Custom
This bike is essentially stock, with the exception of the accessories noted below, and only has 7412. I recently purchased this bike from Brian's Harley-Davidson in Langhorne, PA on 5/17/16. At that time, the bike had 7168 miles on it. As things turn out, I just don't have enough time to ride and hate to see it sit in the garage. Prior to taking delivery of the bike, Brian's put on a new rear tire and battery. The luggage rack was also on the bike at that time. Since I bought, I installed the following: - Vance & Hines Big Shot Exhaust, ceramic black - Vance & Hines Air Cleaner Element - Custom Tune from Fuel Moto The bike is in like new condition and would welcome any serious buyers that would like to inspect it. The Rekluse Torq Drive auto clutch system is designed to increase torque capacity by 17% to the general clutch system. This is a very simple system and no modifications are needed to install the auto clutch.
2012-2013 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special Recalled for Loose License Plate Bracket
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall on all Night Rod Special models from 2012 and some from 2013 because of a potentially loose license plate bracket. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounting screws connecting the VRSDCDX‘s license plate bracket to the tail may loosen, potentially causing the plate to rub against the rear tire. This may cause the plate bracket to rotate as well as damage rear brake lines.
New 2012 Harley-Davidson Models Named in CARB Documents
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Documents released by the California Air Resources Board reveal two new models from Harley-Davidson’s 2012 lineup: a 10th anniversary edition V-Rod and a new member of the Dyna family. The CARB documents list motorcycles that have received approval for the state of California. The Motor Company has received approval for several 2012 models including the 2012 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special Anniversary and the 2012 Harley-Davidson Switchback.
