Harley-Davidson Softail description

This is my daily ride and I live in the city, so it shows some wear. There is a scratch in the tank and the main drive cover, and there is some fading of the leather and gauges. It's in great mechanical condition and runs strong, but it will need some maintenance before taking any long trips. It has a padded sissy bar, saddle bags, and custom grips and floor boards, as well as the chrome front fork kit and lights. I am the original owner, and it was purchased new at Patriot Harley Davidson in Fairfax, VA. I have had most of the maintenance performed there, or by a local mechanic who was trained by Harley Davidson. 


With the wear and upcoming maintenance in mind, I am starting the bidding well below the book value. I will need a non-refundable Paypal deposit of $500 within 48 hours of winning the bid, and the rest payable by cash or money order upon pick up. A leaked memo sent out to Harley-Davidson dealers reveals plans to drop several models from the company’s 2014 lineup. Slated to disappear are the XR1200X Sportster, the FXS Softail Blackline, and the FLHTC Electra Glide Classic. Also being discontinued, at least for 2014, is the FLTRX Road Glide Custom and FLTRU Road Glide Ultra, as the tourer models undergo a design refresh.
