Harley-Davidson Softail description

The HD Heritage Softail Clasic (FLSTCI), fuel-injected, 1450 cc big twin engine is one of the most successful and popular Harleys on the road. This one is loaded with extras and chromed to the teeth:

  • Dual air horns (a loud alternative to the standard HD horn),

  • The Condor is a fully adjustable wheel locking system capable of accommodating either front or rear wheels in sizes from 15-22" or 80-220 mm wide

  • The Pit Stop also serves as a Trailer Stop with the included Trailer Adapter Kit, which allows quick attaching or detaching

    • Purchased with 5,700 miles on it, it's had regular maintenance at HD recommended intervals.  When I originally purchased it I picked it up myself in Fort Worth, Texas so I could ride it home.  I rode it from Las Vegas to Sturgis the year I bought it, and it's performed beautifully on HOG rallys in Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Utah and Colorado.  She's been a great ride and I hate to give her up, but age and arthritis have limited my riding days.

    AMA Road Racing From Laguna Seca Will Not Be Televised Or Online

    AMA Pro Racing has confirmed that round four of the AMA Pro Road Racing series from the FIM Superbike World Championship, Geico Motorcycle U.S. Round at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will not be available for live broadcast on FansChoice.tv or post-race viewing. AMA Pro Racing engaged in good faith negotiations with the event’s rights holder (Dorna -TS), but, ultimately, was unable to reach an agreement in the best interest of all parties involved.

    Every year it seems that newspaper advertisements, radio and TV commercials for Christmas start earlier and earlier. As soon as the sun begins to set on Halloween, department stores begin packing shelves and websites start stocking inventory in preparation for the impending feeding frenzy that will occur for the most commercial of holidays next to valentine’s day. While spending the holiday with family normally keeps me blitzed off eggnog and most of these aforementioned advertisements are enough to make me want to book a cruise for an entire fortnight at the end of December, this one commercial for Harley-Davidson made me laugh.

    Forbes Expects Harley-Davidson to Announce Gains for Q3 2011

    In anticipation of Harley-Davidson announcing its third-quarter performance in 2011 Forbes.com expects Harley will reveal its third straight quarter of sales growth. The article says that financial analysts expect “earnings of $0.76 per share, up 47.4% from the same quarter of last year.” Additionally, an 18.8% gain in revenues is expected. Interestingly, the article refers to Harley’s motorcycles as “luxury items,” and as such sees Harley’s increased sales and profit as a possible harbinger of an improving U.S.
