Harley-Davidson Softail description

2001 Night Train, 26,000 miles and some change.  Adult owned  second owner, purchased used through original selling dealer.  inch carbureted, battery a year old.  Few mods here and there as you can see.  12” apes with 3” Glide risers, Burly brand cables and brake line, Samson fishtails, LePera seat, custom turn signals front and back,  H-D left side leather saddle bag.   This stuff is a season and a half old.  A few other chrome knick knacks here and there.   No pipe or peg scrapes.  Everything works.  No wrecks, never been down.  Runs and Rides like it should.  Has a chip in the chrome of the front lifter block and a slight “lift” of the tank lettering on the left side, looks like it’s been there since new.  Tires and brakes have another season or 2 left in them.  No oil leaks.I have most of the parts to turn the bike back more or less into a Night Train, including complete exhaust with Screaming Eagle II slip-ons (no scrapes), stock drag bars with stock straight and pullback risers, extremely nice stock seat, original cables, mirror, 15” sissy bar w/back rest.  I have some other stuff around the house that can go with it also, brake pads, chrome timing cover allens, handle bar bag, service manual.   All this can go with the bike at the buy it now price, which I think is more than reasonable. My pictures might not be the best so if you need more I can email them to you.  Feel free to ask any questions, I’ll answer as soon as possible.

Absolutely NO test rides.  Absolutely NO test riders.  I’ve been through that BS before.  I can run it through the gears for you if you want to observe.  I can even strap my cell to my shirt and send a video, but don’t ask to ride it.  There’s a short video of the bike firing up at:

Reason for selling:   Bad back, case of bikers leg, losing sight in left eye.

Usual disclaimers:  Contact me within 48 hours of auction end or I will consider it a no sale and relist it.  Hate leaving negative feedback…  If you are going to pick it up immediately contact me and we can work it out,  otherwise I can store it for up to 2 weeks but will need a $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction end.   PayPal usually works.   Cash always works best for final payment but I will take checks although check MUST clear the bank before delivery and that can take up to 10 days or more.  Pick up or shipping is buyers responsibility but I will cooperate with any transport co.

When in Rome for Harley’s 110th

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

In addition to all the other goings-on scheduled for Harley-Davidson’s 110th celebration in Rome, Italy, Pirelli and LowRide magazine are teaming up to bring Italian Motor Company enthusiasts even more. During the June 13-16 celebration Pirelli is setting up shop at Lido di Ostia, transforming the Rome Nautical Club in to the Pirelli Clubhouse for this occasion. Guests at the Pirelli Clubhouse can attend tattooing sessions, where images created by Fashion Tattoo Studio will be imprinted on a range of tires. For those who want to try the thrills of driving a racing car through iconic racetracks around the world, the Formula 1 simulator will be available throughout the four-day celebration. Also on show is the new summer collection of Pzero clothing.  Pirelli technicians will hold product workshops illustrating the importance of tires on custom motorcycles.
