I turned it in to a softail custom with lots of chrome and new parts including a new 1450.00 cc (88.48 cubic inches) Harley Davidson Engine and 5 gear transmission, POWER COMMANDER III, new wiring harness since this engine is EFI and factory anti-theft alarm with key fobs... drag bars, forward controls... new tank with EFI fuel pump... new rear suspension with Arlen Ness adjustable lowering bolts, Arlen Ness cold air filter and back plate... New swing arm, new tires, new rear spoke wheel to match the softail custom look... Harley tank badges not stickers... kuryakin: mirrors, digital fuel and battery gauges, turn signals, and vented gas cap... Vance and Hines short shots exhaust, new rear brakes, chrome oil tank... Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling
Mon, 19 Aug 2013As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
Harley Declares Women Riders Month
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
