Harley-Davidson Softail description

You have found one of the sickest Fatboys ever! Over $30,000 was been spent on customizing this beauty and no stone was left unturned. The frame was swapped out for a Mid-USA which is lockable, offers an extra 4 inches in the backbone and is finished with a chrome swing arm cover. The extra stretch is the perfect compliment to the hand stretched gas tank and fenders as well as the Arlen Ness lower spoiler all of which are adorned in a one of kind paint job with a House of Kolor Passion Purple laid atop gloss black in a checkered flag that looks just stunning! Some of the highlights include the all in one headlight and nacelle assembly with tri-bar headlight, a quick release windshield with bag, a quick release back rest, polished rims, steel braided lines & cables, a LePera Gun Runner seat, a Paul Yaffe side plate holder, a lowered front end, a RSD performance air cleaner and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its Sampson Ground Pounder exhaust. You will also find a list of chrome longer than your arm which includes the inner and outer primary, adjustable rear shocks, hand controls, 1" extra wide handle bars, highway bars with pegs, grips, floor boards, brake pedal, shift peg, passenger pegs, mirrors, brake calipers, rotors, sprocket cover, coil cover, wheel well, petcock, lowers, sliders, axle covers, carb top, linkage, just about every cover available as well as almost every bolt. With its impressive build sheet it has trophied at every show it has been entered into. Not only that but it was serviced within the last 100 miles at which time the fluids and filter were changed and it got a set of new tires. With 16,700 original miles and considering that over $30,000 was spent customizing this gorgeous machine you will find it is priced to sell with an asking price that is less than half of that!  An additional HD genuine seat comes with this as well.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today.  As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).

Harley-Davidson’s New Tattoo Inspired Clothing Line

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

Not everyone can pull off a tattoo, I know I can’t.  Or maybe I’m just too scared to ink up my entire arm for the rest of my life, sporting a faded and stretched color blotch when I’m 75 with my grand kids trying to guess what it once was. Well Harley-Davidson has a solution for me (and maybe you!) Fake it! Harley-Davidson’s new clothing line has been designed by “Tattoo Masters” to give you that authentic tattoo look, but on a shirt.

Top-Selling Motorcycles in US in 2013: Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special and Breakout

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

It’s almost automatic every time we write about Harley-Davidson that the company’s critics jump out to say how its bikes are heavy or assembled from parts bin leftovers or technologically decades behind its competitors. What these naysayers either forget or completely ignore is that Harley-Davidson motorcycles continue to sell. In its first quarter 2014 financial report, Harley-Davidson reported a 5.8% increase in motorcycle sales including 3.0% in the U.S.
