Harley-Davidson Softail description
This is a 1991 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail classic and 1 of only 150 produced in this color. The engine was a 1340cc bored out and has 10:1 compression now. Engine was rebuilt in 2006 and has less then 100 miles on it. The carburetor was just rebuilt last week. There are various stickers on the bike that you can see in the pictures. The rear fender also has a pinstriped memorial on it,also in the pictures.It is not easily seen because it is behind the license plate and under the storage bag on back of seat.The gas tanks were upgraded to 5 gallons(2 -2 1/2 gallon). The bike comes with a windshield and a extra seat and various extra parts. The rims are aluminum with a Metzler 140/90 on the rear and a 130/90 on the front. The engine exhaust is 1.5" straight pipes.If you have any questions please ask before bidding. The bike is located in Wingdale N.Y. Harley-Davidson Confirms 500cc Model on the Way, Says Electric Harleys Not That Far-Fetched
Mon, 02 Sep 2013It’s only been a couple of weeks since Harley-Davidson broke new ground by unveiling new “Twin-Cooled” liquid precision-cooling engine technology its new Project Rushmore suite of customer-driven refinements, but the Motor Company appears to have even more ambitious plans in the works. Speaking at Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebrations, Chief Operating Officer Matthew Levatich confirmed the company is producing a new 500cc model and opened the possibility of an electric Harley-Davidson somewhere down the line. We’ve previously written about Harley-Davidson’s plans to introduce a new 500cc V-Twin model for the Indian market.

Backflips on a Harley? [video]
Mon, 07 Dec 2009In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.
