Welcome to the top-of-the-line bagger. The 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited model FLHTK is a premium featured touring bike full of authentic Harley-Davidson grand American touring style. As part of Project RushMore, the Ultra Limited has been redesigned for 2014 and features a new twin-cooled high output Twin Cam 103 Harley engine with more low-end torque and passing power. The new Twin Cam 103 is mated to a smooth-shifting 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for low rpm at highway speeds. For 2014, the Ultra Limited has more room and touring comfort for the passenger and a redesigned iconic batwing fairing to reduce head buffeting. The 2014 Ultra Limited Harley-Davidson motorcycle features the new Reflex Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with dynamically, electronically linked brakes for optimum braking regardless of road conditions. Long distance riding has never been better. The new Boom Box Infotainment system provides the loudest, clearest sound and most intuitive operation ever on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. A key feature of the bike is the motorcycle luggage capacity. The sleek new touring saddlebags and Tour Pak provide more room for your gear. 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring Models Recalled for Pinched Brake Lines
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Harley-Davidson is recalling 66,421 motorcycles because of a problem with the front brake lines getting pinched. The recall affects all ABS-equipped 2014 touring and CVO touring models including the Electra Glide Ultra Limited, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Street Glide, Road King, CVO Limited and CVO Road King. Police and Shrine edition models are also affected, as are the Twin-Cooled version of the Electra Glide Ultra Classic and the Road King Classic which are produced for other markets.
Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
