1992 Harley Davidson FXRS Rally Sport That Is Virtually Brand New w/ Only 2400 Miles has a killer EVO motor and very quick with over $5000 in engine work including Screaming Eagle Performance Ignition, Mikuni Carburetor, VH Head, Crane Rollers, old school Sifton Cam, Decked Cylinders, HP Pistons, HD Clutch, Screaming Eagle Tuned Exhaust. Sounds & runs the way you expect a Harley. Always garaged and never in rain. Vivid Black is the lightest and lowest HD and perfect for lady riders. The FXRS is considered by many to be the best riding nicest frame bike Harley ever built. The Harley engineering team-which included a young road-racer named Erik Buell-quickly determined that the Tour Glide frame was not suited to the mission and instead designed an all-new frame that would hold the power-train in the same elastomeric tri-mounts. The frame had a more triangulated shape than that of the FXE Super Glide, and the rear shocks were set further back on the swing-arm. Because of the use of welded stamped steel parts, and no robotic assembly in the era, this bike had to be built by hand, and was expensive and time consuming. Storm Tears Facade Off Colorado Harley-Davidson Dealership
Tue, 09 Apr 2013A Harley-Davidson dealership in Pueblo, Colo., suffered some serious damage after heavy winds from a spring storm ripped off the wall of the dealership’s second floor. The 34,000 square-foot Outpost Harley-Davidson dealership on I-25 in Pueblo usually features a high front wall that sticks up above the building’s gable roof (see the “before” picture below). The damage occurred early in the morning and it’s not clear at this point if anyone was around when it happened.
2013 Harley-Davidson World Ride Scheduled for June 23-24
Tue, 07 May 2013Harley-Davidson riders around the world will head out on the road June 23-24 for the 2013 Harley-Davidson World Ride. The event is organized by the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), but non-members are invited to join in to celebrate Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary as well as H.O.G.’s 30th anniversary. “Harley-Davidson is celebrating two big anniversaries this year, and the World Ride is a great way for riders around the world to celebrate them with us,” says Ken Knuteson, H.O.G.
2012-2013 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special Recalled for Loose License Plate Bracket
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall on all Night Rod Special models from 2012 and some from 2013 because of a potentially loose license plate bracket. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounting screws connecting the VRSDCDX‘s license plate bracket to the tail may loosen, potentially causing the plate to rub against the rear tire. This may cause the plate bracket to rotate as well as damage rear brake lines.
