2006 Harley-Davidson Street Glide FLHX, 2006 was the first year that Harley-Davidson put a little edge in its Electra Glide series and introduced the Street Glide It combined the touring prowess of the 'Glide but with a lot more style. Result: Instant success and lots of sales. This 2006 FLHXI benefits from the upgrade to a True Dual exhaust system by Vance and Hines and a high flow air intake. Simple formula, more air in and more air out = a much better sound and more power! Cruise control was an option in 2006 and this Street Glide has it installed. This is a great option for touring. Your wrist will thank you after about 5 hours on the Super Slab. Another option is a L.E.D. taillight that looks to me to be brighter than the one provided by the Motor Company. Another small addition is a set of Nostalgia hand grips. These are much more comfortable than stock and look a heck of a lot better. Those of you looking at the Internet pictures, be advised that we switched the wind screen from the touring unit you see pictured to an accessory Harley Davidson tinted windscreen that is more in keeping with this bikes style. In the past year, Harley-Davidson employees, dealers and riders have shared thousands of amazing experiences, including a ride through the Tibetan Plateau in China, a parade along the beaches of Sao Paulo and even a Papal blessing. But now the party is coming home to Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend, which promises to be the biggest celebration of them all. Milwaukee residents have always been cordial hosts for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts who make the journey to the City of Festivals from around the world. One Anniversary tradition is the welcoming home of thousands of riders by Milwaukee area residents who stand on the city’s highway overpasses with homemade welcome signs as riders arrive in Milwaukee.

Opening Jan. 17, the Living Lost Photographs by Josh Kurpius art exhibit includes 30 photographs taken during a series of road trips Kurpius took with friends, all riding vintage Harleys.
Pope’s Harley Sells for $329,000 at Auction!
Thu, 06 Feb 2014Bonhams auction house in Paris has announced the unexpected results of the auction held today which included a 2013 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide and a leather jacket owned by none other than the Pope. The results were simply astounding. The Pope’s Harley sold for $328,527 to a private European buyer.
