Yes, the folks in Milwaukee did the eyes a giant favor when they dreamed up this one. Beginning with the raked-out front fork and chrome riser. Stretched fuel tank topped by a full-length chrome console. Rear fender supports, also in full chrome glory, with hidden fasteners. The rear fender gets a tough, straight-cut dragster profile. Up front is a laced wheel. In back, 17 of solid rear wheel with a wide 160mm tire. The Twin Cam 88B engine is available with carburetor or efficient EFI. It also gets the chromed-out look. Bob Probert’s Last Ride [video]
Wed, 14 Jul 2010The former NHL Detroit Red Wing and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy, Bob Probert, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family. Probert was arguably the all time greatest NHL fighter but also had great skills, leadership qualities and a big heart. He was taken to his final destination on a Harley-Davidson sidecar before about 1,000 mourners. Probert was 45 years old on his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dani, son Jack and two daughters, Brogan and Tierney. A news clip and some Probert highlights after the jump.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q2 2011 Results
Tue, 19 Jul 2011Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $190.6 million over the second quarter of 2011, thanks to the first year-on-year quarterly improvement in the U.S. market in nearly five years. For the three months ended June 26, 2011, Harley-Davidson’s operating income totaled $301.9 million, a 38.0% increase from the $218.8 million reported in the same period of 2010.
