2003 Harley-Davidson V-Rod , 2003 Harley Davidson 100th Anniversary VRSCA V-Rod with low miles for the year and looks/runs great. I purchased this bike from Conrad's Harley Davidson in IL this spring and everything was checked out before it left. The bike has a new battery as of 5-1-13 along with a trickle charger lead installed. Before the bike left the store they added Bub pipes for me that really sound great. I put a K&N High flow air filter in 7-1-13. On 8-30-13 the bike got new front brake pads (Harley Davidson Pads) and the fluid flushed. At that time I also had a oil change done with AMS Oil. Its built around the race-inspired Revolution engine. A high-revving, liquid-cooled, 115-hp, 60, 1130cc, fuel-injected V-Twin marvel that puts the power in powertrain. We showcase this mechanical wonder in a hydro-formed perimeter frame. Then we rubber-mount and counterbalance it for a smooth ride. Part of the trademark of the V-Rod is the styling of the aluminum bodywork. It pushes the look of the fenders, air box cover and dual scoop radiator cover. A factory security system is now standard. Harley-Davidson Adds Twin Cam 96 and 103 Engines to Factory Remanufacturing Program
Tue, 17 Jan 2012Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.
