All the following are chrome: handlebar controls, lower and upper forks, brake discs and calipers, twisted spoke wheels, lower and upper primary, swing arm, oil cooler, and every nut on the bike is a chrome acorn. > All cables are steel mesh and all wires are hidden in the handle bars. > The motor runs perfectly with a strong, throaty sound and has a performance kit installed for added horse power. > The bike has just turned 19,000 original miles which is extremely low for its age. Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today.  As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).

2015 Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Revealed

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.

Stephen King to Guest Star on ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Tue, 21 Sep 2010

Stephen King will be making a guest appearance on the hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy, later tonight.  King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years. Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode.  See his comments about the production here.
