Harley Riders Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

The Harley-Davidson family of riders and fans has a promise for women affected by breast cancer: You’re not alone, because we ride with you. These riders and fans added extra horsepower to that promise by raising more than $1 million for organizations that support and empower women affected by breast cancer through the purchase of Harley-Davidson Genuine MotorClothes Pink Label Collection apparel and merchandise. “The brave and courageous women who have shared with us stories of battling breast cancer are the inspiration for the Pink Label Collection,” said Karen Davidson (right), Creative Director of General Merchandise and granddaughter of a Harley-Davidson Motor Company founder.

Michael Jackson was not known for riding motorcycles, he did own a 2001 Harley-Davidson that was on the action block earlier this year that was listed for $6,000 – $8,000, I never heard if it was sold or not.  We all have our different opinions about the mega pop star but we can all agree that he was larger than life and truly a boy in a mans body, case in point, take a look at the “Speed Demon” video that features Jackson on a bicycle, motorcycle and scooter, sort of… The “Speed Demon” video is available after the jump. A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.
