Harley-Davidson Other description

The Bike comes with a title and original owners manual.  I will have videos upcoming on you tube.  I have a certified appraisal that shows the bike to be worth $40,000.00, and probably much more to the right collector.  Please do not ask my what reserve is.  My reserve is a fair price.  The pictures were taken in different lighting situations making the green look different,  but they are all actual photos of the bike.

For a nearly hundred-year-old Harley, this genuine original looks like it’s brand spanking new.  This 1922 Harley-Davidson JD Motorcycle was rebuilt, bolt-by-bolt, from tire to engine to handlebar using all original parts.

*First year for the rare 74-cubic inch V-twin engine
*Fresh, documented restoration; zero miles since completion
*Correct colors and original equipment for a 1922 model

This bike was sold new in Windsor, Ontario, and was restored from a sound, low-mileage original for its owner of 40 years, local farmer. Finished in its original olive drab, with spectacular and correct pin-striping on its double fuel tanks and oil tank, the bike was rebuilt literally bolt by bolt. The saddle, optional front and rear lights, and rubber footboards are original, and the bike has a rear luggage rack and stand. The crankcase and two-into-one exhaust have been correctly finished.
The bike has new nickel plating throughout; the rims are painted, with stainless steel spokes, and both chains are new, as is the rear brake and the Coker tires and tubes.  The sides of the fenders were dented, and as a result, they were precisely reconstructed.
The JD’s lighting and ignition consisted of a six-volt generator/ignition unit storage battery, headlight, taillight, and motor driven oil pressure light. The ignition system involved a circuit breaker, distributor, and high-tension coil, and it was located behind the engine, away from rain.  Has a 6 volt lithium Ion battery.
This superb Harley-Davidson presents its next owner with the opportunity to enjoy a “new” 1922 motorcycle, both to ride and show, if he or she so desires. It’s bound to be a head-turner wherever it goes.

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

Newly-released footage from a police cruiser’s dashboard camera shows the car rear-ending a couple on a motorcycle. Japanese Bike Shop Giving Away Harley-Davidson with Life-Sized Anime Character

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Japanese shop Bike-O is holding a draw with a rather unique grand prize: a used 2008 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide with a life-sized figure of anime character Fujiko Mine from the long-running anime and manga series “Lupin III“. We’re not sure whether the motorcycle or the statue is supposed to be the bigger prize here, to be honest. Obviously, we’d rather have an actual road-worthy Harley-Davidson Electra Glide with a custom “champagne pink” paint job.
