Ducati Superbike description

The Good & Great:
  • 8,000 miles. May go up a few as I will take it out for short rides to keep it fresh.
  • I am the original owner.  Bike purchased on 11/30/2014.
  • 7,500 service completed on 11/27/2015 by Melilimoto in Ocala, FL
  • K-Tech RDS fork cartridges and DDS Pro rear shock. Suspension work was done on 1/23/2016 by Paul Runion who is Bobby Fong's Team Manager at the Latus Racing Moto-America team.  All manuals, warranty, and build sheets are included. Front and rear suspension work was $3,104. Receipts included. Suspension has only 500 ± street miles on it.  Forks built with premium SKF fork seals.
  • 1199 flat rate rear suspension linkage with Sato adjustable link rod. ($300)
  • Carrozzeria forged aluminum wheels. ($1,900).
  • Sprint air filter. ($80).
  • Rapid Bike Race tuning kit installed by Yaman @ Cycle Pro. Yaman is the US Rapid Bike main importer and guru. Doesn't get any better than Yaman when it comes to Rapid Bike tuning. ($1,000).
  • Ducati GPS Data Acquisition kit installed. ($600).
  • Zero Gravity Corsa and Touring screens included.
  • Superlight aluminum, steel, and stock sprockets included.
  • RG Bar End Sliders
  • GB Racing engine case covers.
  • RG radiator covers
  • Rear seat cover. $150
  • Lightweight rear brake rotor included (not installed). Shaves 1lb from rear. $150
  • Aftermarket rearsets included.
  • Have all stock oem parts, including the OEM wheels.
  • Clean Florida title in hand.
  • Under factory warranty until November 30, 2016

The nit-picky:
  • Two of the decals of tears in them from me washing and pressure washing the bike too closely.
  • The digital dash has a few specs of stain where brake fluid must have leaked/splashed on the bike while riding. Not uncommon with 1199/899's and its barely noticable.
  • Maybe some minor stone chips here or there but nothing major.
The Summation:
  • The bike has done a 2,500 mile cross-country trip and has been a problem-free commuter.  100% reliable and has been very low maintenance.
  • The bike performs flawlessly and is a VERY well-sorted, well-maintained, and well-cared for bike.
  • The bike can do it all: commute, tour, and trackdays.

Guintoli and Crew Quits Liberty Racing Team Ahead of Home WSBK Race

Thu, 19 Jul 2012

World Superbike rider Sylvain Guintoli has left the Effenbert Liberty ahead of the team’s home round in Brno, Czech Republic. Guintoli and members of his pit crew walked off the job, reportedly in a dispute over overdue pay cheques. Liberty Racing initially released a statement calling the crew’s departure as a “defection” born from a “misunderstanding between the mechanics and the administrative management of the team”.

If you're not crashing, you're not trying hard enough. When I crashed at Silverstone, I was trying but clearly my 848 wasn't hard enough. It took a beating..
