The 1199 Panigale S is equipped with hlins suspension, both on the front and on the rear that features the innovative Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES). Also made by hlins is the adjustable steering damper. In addition, the model rolls on super lightweight forged and machined Marchesini wheels, a carbon fiber front mudguard, full LED headlights and an Aero Kit , which consists of an additional wider fairing top-section. The 1199 Panigale S is also equipped with DTC, DQS, EBC and Power Mode combined into the Ducati Riding Modes. This model is available in standard configuration with optional ABS (country specific).

Troy Bayliss might not be in the limelight these days, but the ex-World Superbike champ has been busy down under testing Aussie V8s for the Jack Daniel's Racing Holden team. Bayliss has made it quite clear that he wants to race V8s as the next stage of his racing career. He allegedly turned down a multi-million dollar contract from Ducati when he decided to quit WSB.

Rossi to Race on Updated Ducati Desmosedici GP11.1

With the 2011 MotoGP season not going as successfully as hoped, Ducati is introducing a number of significant updates to its Desmosedici racebike including features originally intended for the 2012 version. Valentino Rossi, whose much heralded union with Ducati has produced just a single podium finish in six races, will be the first to race on the updated Desmosedici, dubbed the GP11.1. Rossi will ride the GP11.1 at the upcoming Assen.

Current Ducati CEO, Gabriele Del Torchio, is leaving the company to take up new professional challenges. Replacing him is Ducati General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors at Ducati Motor Holding, Claudio Domenicali. Domenicali joined Ducati as a project leader in 1991.
