Ducati Monster description

2013 Ducati Monster Diesel, SOLD! - Be brave, be unique. The Diesel Style Team, under the guidance of Diesel founder Renzo Rosso, together with Ducati's Design Centre, have brought a new ‘urban military chic' interpretation to the iconic naked motorcycle. Creative, innovative, fun, irreverent, sexy and brave are the words to best describe the new Monster Diesel. The collaboration between Diesel's founder Renzo Rosso and the Ducati Design Center gives birth to the numbered Monster Diesel version (technically based on the 1100 EVO).

AMA to Combine Daytona Sportbike and Supersport Classes in 2015

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced plans to combine its Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes into a single category by the 2015 season. The two classes currently share many similarities including engine displacement regulations, minimum weight limits and eligible machines. The Supersport class has more restrictions on modifications and are limited to a maximum top speed of 165 mph while Daytona Sportbike machines are allowed to reach speeds up to 170 mph.

Ducati won the elegance pageant with color effects

Ducati's designers' maneuver is elegant, efficient and simple - it is based on the Hypermotard 950, which received new design elements from the company's catalog, a different subframe and an original color scheme that is especially striking. These touches were enough to transform the bike and win an award, despite the fact that there is nothing conceptual in it. But what the hell - it's a beauty!

£4 part (almost) stops play

When I dropped off my trashed 848 to George White, along with a box of parts, I didn't realise how much work would be involved in preparing the bike for the 848 Challenge. If I did, I probably wouldn't have had the front to show up, point to a date on the calendar two weeks ahead, make everyone a cup of tea and then clear off. Truth be told, it's taken a huge effort to get the bike to a place where it's got everything it needs to go racing and I wouldn't be heading to Assen without the effort of Paul Sands (Sandzee) and Mike Collis at George White who worked all sorts of hours to get it sorted.
