What you are bidding on in this auction is a 1966 BSA Thunderbolt Complete with a 1971 650cc thunderbolt engine. This classic British bike is in fairly good condition for a project motorcycle, I can find no damage anywhere on the engine or the tank and the frame does not appear to be molested or damaged in any way. The paint has chipped away in certain areas and there is some slight rust present as is shown in the pictures. The engine turns over and is not locked up and the wheels move freely. Neither the rear fender or the seat appear to be correct for this make and model and the gauges are not smiths but read VDO. The engine numbers on this bike read A65T / EE 09XXX and I can find no identifiable numbers on the frame, if someone out there knows where to find the serial number on the frame please call or email me. There is NO TITTLE for this motorcycle, BILL OF SALE ONLY!! The winning bidder purchases this classic BSA motorcycle with the knowledge that every part may have to be removed, rebuilt and restored. The revived BSA brand showed its first Gold Star model

Fri, 04 Mar 2022

At last we have a brand new model of the beloved brand: after the success of Royal Enfield and Jawa, the British BSA has returned to service. The single-cylinder classic Gold Star will enter the European market - a spiritual successor to the original company's lineup, but with a completely modern filling. The novelty is equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, two overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, a working volume of 652 cm3.

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
