As much as I love this bike, I just don't get to ride much these days, so it's time for it to go to a new home. A great vintage BMW R100/7 Motorcycle. I've owned it for 6 years. Recently re-lubed, cleaned the rear brakes, and a brand new battery. Fires right up. Could use some slight adjustments but overall very good for a 40 year old bike. Everything functions as it should. Fairly clean, not showroom quality but a nice presenter. Always stored in my garage. If you have more questions let me know! Shipping is possible via one of the many freight companies, but much rather you see it in person. Bike is for sale locally and will end the auction if it sells. EICMA 2012: BMW F800GT Announced as Replacement for F800ST

As we reported in August, BMW is replacing its F800ST sport tourer with a new, more touring-oriented version called the F800GT. Revealed at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the 2013 BMW F800ST is equipped with a 798cc parallel Twin engine claiming 88 hp at 8000rpm, an increase from the BMW F800ST’s claim of 84 hp at 8000rpm (the 2012 F700GS and F800GS also claims 84hp from a similar engine.) Other changes include better wind protection, lighter wheels, new higher-mounted handlebars, repositioned footrests, and load capacity increased to 456 pounds from 432 pounds. Like all current BMW motorcycles, the F800GT comes standard with ABS.

FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.

BMW Reports Record Sales in 2012

BMW reported a record year for motorcycle sales, supplying 106,358 motorcycles and scooters in 2012. This represents a 2.0% increase from the 104,286 units sold in 2011. Helping BMW reach its new sales record was a strong December which saw sales of 6,069 units worldwide, a 43.4% increase from the 4,232 units sold in December 2011.
