BMW R-Series description

Well cared for low mileage example of type.   The engine runs very strong, documented 30K service at dealer, new brake fluid this year, recent oil change.    The bike has approximatley 37,600 miles on it.  Both Metzler  tires have quite a bit of life in them with 7K's worth of miles on them.   The bike was originally purchased by its first owner as his retirement gift and he took it to Alaska.  ABS brakes .  The bike, as is normally the case, has been over a few times, with only a few scratches on the front fender and a smudge on the tank lettering that I can see.   The bike is outfitted with numerous accessories including:

2014 Urals Get Upgraded & Go On Tour

For 2014 Ural has equipped its line-up of two-wheelers and sidecars with some very modern componentry. Ural models now enjoy the benefits of electronic fuel injection (EFI), disc brakes (on all three wheels) and an hydraulic steering damper. Ural claims the motorcycles have received “dozens of other upgrades,” but did not provide details as to nature of those upgrades.

Earlier this week, we wrote about BMW inviting some special guests to witness the start of production for its R nineT roadster. Along with a couple of German celebrities such as television chef Horst Lichter and actor Ronald Zehrfeld, the guests included custom motorcycle shop Urban Motor. BMW tasked Urban Motor with creating the first custom R nineT to highlight the motorcycle’s potential.

BMW Concept Ninety Marks Motorrad’s 90th Anniversary and 40 Years of BMW R90S

BMW revealed a new concept to mark the company’s 90th year in the motorcycle business while also paying tribute to a classic: the BMW R90S. (UPDATED with video.) The product of a collaboration between the BMW Motorrad Design studio and Roland Sands Designs, the BMW Concept Ninety will be displayed alongside other classic BMW motorcycles at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, May 24-26 in Italy. The Concept Ninety carries many styling cues from the R90S, BMW’s classic superbike.
