I AM RELUCTANTLY OFFERING MY VERY ORIGINAL 1956 R50 BMW. I BOUGHT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER MANY YEARS AGO AND HAVE KEEP IT JUST ABOUT THE WAY I GOT IT. THE BIKE WAS BUILT IN 1956 AND IS REGISTERED AS A 1957. I DID INSTALL THE LARGE TANK, HEADLIGHT MIRRORS, NEW STEERING BEARINGS AND SIGNAL LIGHTS. PAINT, SEAT, SINGLE CROSS SPOKE RIMS ARE STOCK. MILEAGE IS CORRECT. NUMBERS MATCH, BUT THERE WAS NO HEAD TAG WHEN I GOT THE BIKE AND ONE WAS ADDED. HAS ORIGINAL KEYS, MANUAL, PUMP AND TOOL KIT.THE SEAT IS RIPPED AND THE BATTERY IS OLDER. THERE ARE NEW HEIDINEAU TIRES. THE BIKE RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD, BUT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR SOME MONTHS. I HAVE A TRANFERABLE REGISTRATION AND BILL OF SALE FOR THE NEXT OWNER. FIM Eases WSBK Homologation Requirements
Sat, 22 Feb 2014With the 2014 World Superbike Championship now under way, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced a change in the homologation procedure for new motorcycles entering the series. The new regulations requires a minimum of 125 units produced in order to begin the homologation process. By the end of the first year of participation, manufacturers must have produced 250 units.

Developed in collaboration with Honda, and the Repsol Montesa Honda Trials team, it’s got a 259cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine designed to compete with smaller two-strokes while producing less emissions. There are two versions, the £5,699 standard 4RT260, aimed at amateur-to-advanced riders, and the more competition-focussed Factory Race Replica version, with Showa suspension, at £6,799.
BMW C650GT and C600 Sport Recalled for Faulty Timing Chain Tensioner
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW has initiated a recall on 2012-2014 C600 Sport and C650GT scooters because of a problem with their timing chain tensioners. As of this writing, recalls have been announced in Canada and Germany but not for the U.S., though we expect the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will announce a similar recall shortly.
