BMW R-Series description

For Sale:

2004 BMW R1100S

VIN: WB10432A94ZB54168

Presented here is a beautiful example of true German engineering, the BMW R1100S. This European sport bike is powered by a fuel injected, 1,085 cc twin cylinder boxer motor, which creates 98 horsepower and 72 ft/lbs of torque. Power to the rear wheel is supplied by a 6 speed transmission.

With a top speed of 141 miles per hour, and adjustable front and rear suspension, this BMW is a road rocket.  Stopping power is supplied by dual disc front, and single disc rear brakes. This particular bike features a central dashboard clock, handlebar grip warmers, electric choke, and carbon fiber front fender. Also on the bike is an aftermarket Sargent seat.

This 2004 BMW R1100S has just under 10,000 miles on the odometer. It received a full service by Baxter Cycle in Marne, Iowa, and has just had a brand new Exide Gell Battery installed. It has seen very light use and has been well cared for. There are a few small scrapes in the paint, on the left rear side of the bike and just above the taillight (photos of all scratches included). There are also a few small scrapes on the bottom of the left cylinder head.

Sold with an Iowa title, and complete set of manuals.

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle will be sold in AS-IS condition with no warranty. All items listed will also be advertised through several other media (i.e. eBay, local papers, Craigslist, etc), so first come first serve. Buyers will be responsible for vehicle pick-up or delivery. Each vehicle listed will denote whether it has a title; if not, a bill of sale will be provided.

Exclusive interview with the Pope

Thu, 16 Sep 2010

The Pope, graciously took ten minutes out of his hectic Third World Tour of an aggressively atheist county to speak to us of his recently publicised passion for motorcycles So, Jo, you like your bikes? ‘Ja, Very much. I haff liked motorcycles since a very early age during my time in ze Hitler Youth organisation, in fact.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

WSBK 2013: Phillip Island Race Report

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Max Biaggi who? The Roman Emperor’s retirement after winning the 2012 World Superbike Championship marked the end of an era for Aprilia, with the 2013 campaign marking the first without Biaggi since the Italian manufacturer came back to the WSBK scene with the RSV4. If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.
