BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
*updated to full res photos 2 Aug. Bike is in excellent mechanical condition, but if you want it to look really sharp, it will need a paint job. Driver's seat has a rip on the righthand side, and if you want to do any long trips, you will probably want to get a new seat, or get this one refoamed and recovered. It's fine for around town though. Extras/Options ABS power brakes extended windshield (adjustable for height) handlebar pullbacks heated grips bar end weights/throttle lock BMW hard luggage After market exhaust (I have the original if you want it) BMW engine guards extra bright LED brake light Recent maintenance changed alternator belt adjusted valves changed brake fluid changed clutch fluide replaced fuel filter replaced both of the fuel line quick disconnects replaced rubber grips The only issues with this bike are cosmetic. Lamborghini Plows Into BMW Motorcycle Dealership
Tue, 10 Jul 2012Pictured here is the carnage left behind after a driver lost control of a Lamborghini Murciélago and plowed through a row of motorcycles parked outside a BMW dealership in Mariano Comense, a town north of Milan, Italy. According to Italian site InFullGear, the driver veered into the oncoming lane while approaching a curve before losing control and running into the parked motorcycles before bouncing off and coming to a stop in the middle of the road. The crash injured three people, though thankfully none of them were seriously injured.
BMW R100RS by Ritmo Sereno
Fri, 02 Aug 2013Ritmo Sereno is a Japanese motorcycle customiser specializeing in BMW and Moto Guzzi custom motorcycles. One of the greatest bikes created by them, shown to the public last year, is this BMW R100RS finished in official Bayerishe Motorwerke livery. The original bike, that was considered in the past like a sort of modern hypersport, received some radical changes that have updated the boxer powered motorcycle. It features new rims, so modern tyres can be used, a new exhaust system (2 into 1), the classic Ohlins fork with dark colour finish and the rear shock is Ohlins too.
2015 BMW S1000XR Spied – Inline-Four Multistrada Rival on the Way
Mon, 31 Mar 2014Spy photographers have captured a new BMW adventure-tourer powered by the S1000RR’s Inline-Four engine. The new model, which we expect will be called the 2015 BMW S1000XR, will be more road-oriented than the company’s bread-and-butter GS line, offering a competitor to the likes of the Ducati Multistrada 1200 or the recently reviewed Aprilia Caponord 1200. Other publications that have published the spy photos (Insella.it and MotorcyclistOnline for example) have put forward names such as S1000F or S1000 ADV for the new model, but a trademark application BMW filed with the USPTO suggests it may be introduced as the “S1000XR”.
