You are looking at a 1967 BMW R60/2. This is a triple numbers matching bike, which means the VIN plate, frame number, and engine number all match #1810569. I am listing this bike as a non running project. The engine turns over and is not locked up. There are a few areas with small surface rust, the paint is not perfect, but it does add character. I took pictures of the 2 dents on the headlight rim.
No warranties expressed or implied , and an as is where is sale. Feel free to have the motorcycle inspected if you like. All sales are final, and there are no refunds or returns, and inspections are recommended. Bike comes with a clear title that matches the bike VIN. 2012-2013 BMW S1000RR Side Stand Recall Expands to US
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Earlier this month, we reported a recall issued by Transport Canada for the 2012 and 2013 BMW S1000RR because of a problem with their side stands. That recall has now expanded to the U.S., affecting 2,385 units. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the side stand attachment bolts on the affect BMW S1000RR units can loosen because of a manufacturing fault.
BMW Reports Record Sales in 2012
Wed, 09 Jan 2013BMW reported a record year for motorcycle sales, supplying 106,358 motorcycles and scooters in 2012. This represents a 2.0% increase from the 104,286 units sold in 2011. Helping BMW reach its new sales record was a strong December which saw sales of 6,069 units worldwide, a 43.4% increase from the 4,232 units sold in December 2011.
