BMW R-Series description

Motorcycle M72, 1957 passed the full cycle of reincarnation. In his first life he was a strong and reliable helper of man. But time passes, and passing his long, and not simply the way he died, and was trapped in a steel mausoleum for long 22 years.Everything changed in September 2014 when his frail body was recovered from a long captivity and total oblivion. An autopsy revealed that can not do without an organ transplant and total therapy of all remaining. In the end, after hard work and Herculean labor, he was born again! Much of it was left in an unchanged appearance, so as to emphasize the venerable age of iron and show the technology of those years. He is strong and nice to drive, and now it is prepared for a very different fate. Urban avenues and modern cottages, exhibition and shoot the best oil and high-octane gasoline. Moto 3, Oral Engineering and the 2012 BMW S1000RR

Thu, 01 Mar 2012

KTM and Honda may have been the main players at recent Jerez Moto 3 test but GP newcomers, Oral Engineering, weren’t too far behind with our very own Danny Webb posting the 15th best time. Italian based Oral are supplying engines to Mahindra Racing (Danny & Marcel Schrotter) and Ambroggio Next Racing (Simone Grotzki & Giulian Pedone). Mahindra have their motor housed in an all new, Italian tubular steel chassis, while Ambroggio have gone down the more economic route of using their 2011 Aprilia RSW 125 chassis.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT First Impressions Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The R1200RT has gone liquid cooled, inheriting the new boxer engine with BMW’s “precision cooling” technology from the new R1200GS. But that’s not all that’s changed on the RT as Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke points out in the video below from the 2013 EICMA show floor. With a new K1600GT-inspired look, more power and a number of factory-installed options, one of our favorite touring bikes is better than ever.   Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Gold Rush

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Spotted at this year's Motorcycle Live. The 'net is awash with gold-wrapped and horrendously painted supercars, often sporting Middle-Eastern numberplates but this S1000RR isn't an Arab creation. Nope, it's a one-off paintjob by BMW for the 2012 Olympics, where BMW supplied cars and bikes to ferry around VIPs.
