BMW Other description

17,500 K - NO RESERVE. I've been hemming and hawing over if I really wanted to sell it. I finally decided that it was time for her to go- and finally set a realistic for sale price- no reason to have a bike and not ride it every chance I could. I've subsequently priced this bike to sell- quickly. It really is in great conditio n- I thought I was going to keep her so I put new tires on (PR3) and got the service completed- she really needs nothing. I ran the escort 9500CI on the bike and it really is a game changer - completely custom installed - its actually made me a more attentive and aware driver. This is optional but all of my bikes have them and will add $500 to purchase price.GPS and BMW tank bag included as well as wunderlich bar muffs. It is wired for an autocom 2275 - toggle switch . After commuting 365 for several years on a multitude of bikes, I've gone to running ear buds only and this allows me to toggle between audio speakers or ear buds (Rocket moto inline resistors for earbuds),The K sits in a heated garage on a tender. I just rode my Ducati SFS more often and the K never got the nod the way I thought it would . Particulars on my K : Purchased OCTOBER 2012 (2 yr remaining on warranty) Approximately 7,250 mis - New PR3s and 6500 mi Service on 29 OCTOBER 13. Premium Packages: Safety Package: includes Adaptive Headlamp, DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and TPM (Tire Pressure sensor) GT Luxury Package: includes ESA II(Electronic Suspension Adjustment), Central Locking System and Security Alarm Audio, Communications and GPS preparation package: includes Bluetooth, audio system w/tuner and SiriusXM and Radio Software Options: Optional Passport 9500 CI installed and completely functional- great piece of kit. (+500 to total price) Set up for autocom w/switched 2275 (intend to keep autocom logic for next bike) Stebel Airhorn BMW engine guards BMW Tank bag and Wunderlich Bar mitts. Krista Clearwater lamps (not mounted / option for sale) The bike is very very clean, there are however, a few very small nicks from road debris and a few rust spots on the exhausts (they all have them and its a complete non-issue but transparency matters) - all visible from the photos. If you need more in-depth pics let me know because if you are like me and are passionate about your bikes it's important. The bike runs well and is incredibly comfortable, but I'm just looking for something different. There isn't another comparable K16GT at this price - it's incredibly clean- ADD GAS AND GO! NEEDS NOTHING! I'll work with the buyer to arrange shipping.

Hi-Def video of BMW S1000RR on the dyno

Mon, 15 Mar 2010

THERE'S SOMETHING rather cruel about ringing the nuts out of any bike on a dyno - a bit like poking a lion through the bars of a cage with a long stick... Anyway, not quite sure where I'm going with that one, so here's a rather lovely clip of BMW's much-lauded S1000RR getting a stationary pasting on a dyno. Not sure I'd be standing at the rear, mind you.
