2012 BMW S 1000 Rr , I'm selling my 2012 BMW S1000RR. 4000 miles, brand new Dunlop Q3's and it was recently serviced. It's just over a year old and has the remaining balance of the factory 3 yr/36k mile warranty. Currently installed: * Akrapovic full titanium system (over 20 lb weight savings!) * Ohlins TTX rear shock * Power Commander 5 w/custom tune. (dyno'd at 192 hp!) * Vortex rearsets, levers, case covers, sprockets (520 conversion) * Double bubble windscreen, clear * Factory options: traction control, race ABS, quickshfter My cost for just the bike was $17,400 brand new. Asking $14,400 without Akrapovic exhaust or Ohlins shock. BMW Recalls 4,453 Motorcycles and Scooters for Side Stand Switch Problem
Thu, 13 Mar 2014BMW has initiated a recall on several motorcycle and scooter models because of a problem with the side stand switches failing in wet conditions. The recall affects 4,453 vehicles from the 2013 model year including the C600 Sport and C650GT scooters, F700GS, F800GS, F800GS Adventure, F800GT, R1200R and R1200GS. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, water may enter the side stand switch on affected vehicles from riding in wet conditions or even from vigorous washing.
2015 BMW R1200GS Receives Minor Update and New Options
Fri, 04 Jul 2014The liquid-cooled BMW R1200GS receives a slight tweak for 2015 along with new optional quick shifter and keyless ignition system. The Adventure version also gets these new options as well as new choices to lower the seat height. The 2015 GS receives the heavier crankshaft introduced on the 2014 R1200GS Adventure and R1200RT.
